SYS 9043 Systems Engineering Architecture Framework: DoDAF On Demand Micro-Course
Time limit: 90 days
Full course description
Architecture Framework: DoDAF
The Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) provides different perspectives for describing an architecture through its models that represent a consistent naming convention for the representations and how they interact. While defined for use by the Department of Defense, the framework is useful for all domains to represent architecture products. This micro-course will provide an overview of the DoDAF perspectives and their models highlighting examples from the operational and system viewpoints and provide an overview of the DoDAF architecture development process.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this micro-course, students will be able to:
- Define architecture perspectives described in DoDAF
- Identify the different DoDAF viewpoints and their models
- Understand the interaction between different DoDAF models
- Identify how DoDAF can guide architecture activities
This micro-course addresses the following INCOSE learning objective:
- Define awareness level concepts of architecture definition
This Micro-Course is apart of the Systems Architecture Digital Badge track.
