SYS 9045 Systems Engineering Architecture Design On Demand Micro-Course
Time limit: 90 days
Full course description
Topic Description: Systems Engineering Architecture Design
Systems Engineering architecture design is a blend of art and science as we translate stakeholder operational concepts into a system solution. We begin with the black (opaque) box representation of the system to visualize it in use and define its scope and context. We transform that black box into a white (glass) box where we define the structure and behavior inside the system as functional, physical, and allocated architectures. In this micro-course, we will explore the design activities to make this transformation.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this micro-course, students will be able to:
- Define activities to evolve the architecture design
- Identify techniques to define the architecture scope in a target context
- Identify techniques to create a functional architecture
- Identify techniques to create a physical architecture
- Identify techniques to develop allocated architectures for implementation
This micro-course addresses the following INCOSE learning objectives:
- Define awareness level concepts of architecture definition
This Micro-Course is apart of the Systems Architecture Digital Badge track.
