Quality Characteristics in Specialty engineering is a part of systems engineering that provides subject matter expertise in analysis disciplines necessary to deliver an effective, safe, and affordable system. In this micro-course, we introduce fourteen Quality Characteristics in specialty engineering areas and explore basic concepts for humans in the system, system cost, and system support.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this micro-course, students will be able to:
- Identify the importance of Quality Characteristics in specialty engineering in influencing system design
- Define how systems engineers and specialty engineers interact through the program lifecycle
- Identify Quality Characteristics in specialty engineering disciplines that address humans in the system
- Identify Quality Characteristics in specialty engineering disciplines that address system lifecycle costs
- Identify Quality Characteristics in specialty engineering disciplines that address system support
